The Specters are the 108 soldiers of Hades, also known as the Demonic Stars, are the equivalents of Athena's Saints. Although many Specters are killed during the series, most are brought back to life by Hades. This advantage was lost when Sasha creates a barrier covering the Sanctuary to prevent their souls from being brought back to life. And later, Virgo Asmita also devised a means to seal their souls with the 108 Counts Mala. Some are newly introduced characters as there are also many Specters from the original manga. Some known Specters have only appeared in the shadow of Alone, and so have not been introduced. The Specters are divided according to their destiny stars: Earthly and Heavenly Stars.
